Gifts for Anime Figure Collectors Who Have Everything

Gifts for anime figure collectors, chosen without asking: kits from 72 EUR, hand-painted figures, when to order for Christmas and how it ships from Spain.

Hand-painted Jinx resin figure, a gift for an Arcane fan

The best gifts for anime figure collectors are figures of a character they love that nobody else has given them: an unpainted kit they build and paint themselves, or a hand-painted figure finished at my atelier so there is no painting to do. I print both to order in Spain. If you are not a collector yourself, here is how to choose well without spoiling the surprise.

Find out what they collect without asking

Collectors are specific. A fan of one series will smile politely at a figure from another, so look for clues before you spend anything.

  • Look at the shelf. Which series appears more than once? Which character? That is the favourite. Note the size too: a figure about 22-25 cm tall is usually 1/8 scale, about 30-35 cm is 1/6.
  • Check what they are watching or playing now. The “continue watching” row on Crunchyroll or Netflix, their recently played games on Steam, their main in League of Legends or Genshin Impact.
  • Ask a friend from the same fandom. One message tells you the character, the pose they would want and whether they already own one.

Two words you will meet: a garage kit (GK, resin kit) is a figure sold in parts for the buyer to assemble and paint; a scale figure or statue is the finished, painted piece. The figures in my shop are offered both ways, and each figure page shows what is available.

Gifts for anime figure collectors by budget

Figures are offered in two scales and two finishes; the exact options and price are on each figure page. Starting prices below; complex pieces cost more.

Budget What you get Who it suits Dispatch
From 72 EUR Unpainted 1/8 kit, about 22-25 cm standing A friend who paints miniatures or builds models 1-3 weeks
From 99 EUR Unpainted 1/6 kit, about 30-35 cm standing The same painter, a bigger centrepiece 1-3 weeks
From 380 EUR Hand-painted 1/8 figure, about 22-25 cm, painted at the atelier A collector who does not paint, a big birthday 3-7 weeks
From 518 EUR Hand-painted 1/6 figure, about 30-35 cm, painted at the atelier The big one: Christmas, an anniversary, a milestone 3-7 weeks

The gift for someone who paints miniatures: an unpainted kit

If they own brushes or a shelf of half-finished models, buy them the project, not something finished. A garage kit builder wants a clean print of a character nobody sells as a kit. The kit arrives in parts with its base, supports removed, washed and cured, hand-cleaned and test-fitted, so they start at the fun part. They need super glue (cyanoacrylate) for assembly, and a painter already owns primer and paints.

The collector gift: a hand-painted statue

If they display figures but never paint, choose hand-painted. I paint the piece in acrylics with shading and detailing, and you can ask for a specific colour scheme (an in-game skin, a particular outfit) when you order. My work has earned five-star reviews on Etsy. For the anime fan who has everything official, a fan-art figure of a character nobody has made is a unique gift for an anime collector: there is no other one on their shelf.

How big is it really?

Size is the most common surprise with gifted figures. A 1/8 figure stands about 22-25 cm; a 1/6 figure about 30-35 cm, roughly a standard ruler. Dioramas and dynamic poses can be larger, so check the figure page. For a display piece, 1/6 has more presence; a 1/8 kit is a quicker paint job.

Pick a character safely: gift ideas by franchise

When in doubt, choose the main character of their favourite series, or the one they talk about most. Safe picks from my shop:

When to order for Christmas and birthdays

Everything is printed to order. Count backwards from the date you need it: the dispatch window first, then the carrier’s transit time, which is longer outside the EU. A Christmas gift for an anime figure collector is an October or November decision, not a December one.

Occasion Unpainted kit (dispatch 1-3 weeks) Hand-painted figure (dispatch 3-7 weeks)
Christmas Order by mid-November at the latest; earlier if the parcel leaves the EU Order in October
Birthday or anniversary Full 3-week dispatch window plus carrier time: at least 5 weeks before Full 7-week dispatch window plus carrier time: at least 9 weeks before
You are late Order now and give a printed photo of the figure with the card Order together after the day (see below)

You have a 24-hour cancellation window after ordering, useful if you discover the next morning that they already own the character. After that, the order goes ahead.

No gift cards, but two honest alternatives

There is no gift card for my shop: the website is a catalogue, and every purchase happens on the figure’s own Etsy or eBay listing. Two alternatives work:

  1. Order together after the day. Write the card and sit down with them to choose. Every figure page links to its live listing with a Buy on Etsy or Buy on eBay button, and if a figure has no live listing you can use Enquire to Order by email.
  2. Commission a character nobody makes. If their favourite has never had a figure, that is the gift. Read the commissions page and send me the character; I will tell you what is possible and how long it takes.

For the card itself, three you can use: for a painter, “A winter project. Chosen by me, painted by you.” For a collector, “Nobody makes a figure of her, so I had one made. Printed and hand-painted in Spain.” For the order-together gift, “Your next figure is on me. Pick it with me and choose the colours.”

How it ships

Every parcel leaves Spain with tracking. On Etsy, shipping to Spain and the rest of the EU is free, the UK is 20 EUR, and the USA, Canada and the rest of the world are 40 EUR, plus 15 EUR per additional item. Inside the EU there are no customs charges. Outside the EU, your country may charge import duties and VAT on arrival, set by your country and not included in the price. To send the gift straight to them, use their address as the delivery address at checkout.

Every print is inspected before it ships. If something arrives defective, send me photos within 48 hours and I reprint and reship it free. Details are on the shipping and returns pages, and for what happens after the box is opened, see my guides.

What I do at the atelier

I print every kit to order on an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra at 16K resolution, in grey photopolymer resin, with clear resin for transparent parts. I remove the supports, wash and cure the parts, clean them by hand and test-fit them before anything goes in a box. For hand-painted pieces I paint the figure in acrylics with shading and detailing. One person, one printer, in Spain: that is why I ask you to order early for December.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell gift cards?

No. My website is a catalogue and each purchase happens on the figure’s Etsy or eBay listing, so there is no gift card to buy. Either order together after the day, with the card announcing the gift, or commission a character they love that nobody makes.

Will it arrive by Christmas if I order in December?

A hand-painted figure will not: dispatch alone is 3-7 weeks. An unpainted kit ordered in the first days of December may still make it within Spain and the EU if dispatch lands at the short end of its 1-3 weeks, but I cannot promise a carrier’s dates. Later than that, order together.

What if they already own that character?

You have 24 hours after ordering to cancel. Beyond that, a fan-art figure in a different pose is not a duplicate of an official one; it is a second version of a favourite.

Does an unpainted kit need anything else?

Super glue (cyanoacrylate) for assembly. The kit arrives in parts with its base, supports removed, washed, cured and test-fitted. A hobby painter already owns primer and paints.

Can I choose the colours of a hand-painted figure?

Yes. Custom colour schemes are available on request, for example a specific in-game skin or a palette they like. Mention it when you order.

Is this an official figure?

No. Every piece is fan art, printed to order, not affiliated with or endorsed by the rights holders.

Ready to choose? Browse the shop by franchise and open a figure page to see the scales and finishes available and the link to its live listing. If their favourite character is not there yet, start a commission and give them the figure nobody else has.
